A good life takes GRIT--because the best things in life come from hard work, sacrifice, resolve, determination, and perseverance--because GRIT means never quitting, it means coming back time and time again until you succeed. So on this show we talk hunting, we talk outdoors, we talk conservation, we talk family and life. We talk fitness. And we talk strength. Strength of body, strength of mind and strength of character. Prioritize who you are and who you want to be. Get GRITTY--because life isn’t fair and a little GRIT can make all the difference.

This episode of Gritty Bowmen was recorded a year ago on the ferry ride home from Prince of Wales island Alaska on the Alaska Marine Highway System--traveling from Ketchikan, Alaska to Bellingham, Washington. On this episode of Gritty Bowmen I am joined by my long-time friend and college roommate, Chad Nelson and by my brother, Brent. We talk about some of the logistics in getting to POW island and returning home again with hundreds of pounds of meat and bear skins. We talk about meat care and our experience traveling on the Alaska ferry system. This podcast is packed with video from this hunt--and I highly recommend that you watch this podcast on our Website, Youtube Channel, Podbean or through iTunes on Gritty Bowmen TV. I sincerely hope that this episode gets you excited about your upcoming outdoor adventures. And for those of you who are chasing bears this spring--good luck to you! Shoot straight and stay gritty.
